We start with a seated tasting of both kombucha and shrubs, and find out a bit about the background of these beverages, all while getting acquainted.
In the kitchen you will learn to make kombucha, both with and without caffeine. You will see and participate in the steps of making kombucha from creating the beverage, adding the SCOBY and then bottling it when it’s done. You will take home your own SCOBY so that you can easily make some kombucha for you, your friends and family.
Next step is learning to make shrubs using various methods. We will make at least four different shrubs during the class and you will go home with tasting bottles of shrubs to enjoy right away.
Of course, a folder of recipes and information is included in each experience, and you are welcome to take photos and videos along the way.
No experience at Juli’s kitchen is complete without a surprise dessert to send you on your way.

Beverage Class - Make Shrubs and Kombucha
I took the sourdough bread making class with Juli Lederhaus it was absolutely fantastic! Making bread was a challenge for me. This class broke down the steps - it was very hands-on we weren't just watching but doing! You go home with a container of sourdough starter as well as a folder full of instructions as well as recipes and tips. I enjoyed it so much I also took the shrub and kombucha class. Juli is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy to understand and fun. The best part is sitting down tasting different samples. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend taking a class for a date night, girl's day or solo activity!

I’ve taken several classes with Juli—including her pasta, sourdough bread, and shrub/kombucha workshops—and each one has been fantastic.
